Go ahead Storyline: When family is beyond blood 

This is the story of three children Ling Xiao, He Ziqiu , Li Jianjian who came from different families but end up growing up together under the same roof. As they came from broken families so they became support of each other and find happiness and comfort in each other.

Ling Xiao is an introvert and shy boy while Le Jianjian is his neighbour with her warm hearted nature and cheerful personality she draws his attention and they became good friends. 

And then comes He Ziqiu who become an elder brother to Jianjian.

As they came from broken and difficult families they learn to deal with pain, separation become each others emotional and moral  support and this way their bond grow stronger with age and they become more dependent on each other and built their own version of family . 

Then as grow up from childhood to adulthood  their love for each other and the connection heals their old wounds of lacking a family. 

Go ahead Cast and performances 

Tan Songyun( Li Jianjian) 

Li Jianjian is the lively, kind, and a naive playful  girl who always brings joy to everyone around her. She always cheer and helps people. Simply she is the heart of the home as she always does something to keep the home and surrounding lively by her actions. 

Also her character reminds us family can be beyond blood as it’s about who sticks to you through everything. She is the emotional central piller of the drama- always optimistic, compassionate even when life gets tough.

Song Weilong( Ling Xiao) 

Ling Xiao is mature , introvert and reserved and intelligent guy. He carries some emotional burden of his past. He cares a lot about Li Jianjian and Ziqiu and act as a silent protector for them always. He shows how unspoken words and quiet support can sometimes speak louder than words. 

Zhang Xincheng ( He Ziqiu ) 

He a responsible, sensitive and selfless protective person who always put his family first. His care towards the family shows that family isn’t just about blood.

Family beyond blood 

This drama gives us a strongest message that family is not defined by blood, it’s who choose you through everything. The three siblings and their fathers prove that love , care and understanding creates stronger bonds than genetics ever could. So it’s all about how genuine your connection is.

As the three character come from broken or difficult families so they has a past filled with pain and loss but they become each others support and act as a source of healing. This drama beautifully depict emotional recovery from past , forgiveness and move on and how genuine connection helps people heal and grow stronger.

Also the background music add more warmth and emotions to heartwarming scenes when there are heartbreaking moments , unspoken confessions leaving us teary eyes and sometimes smilingalso in romantic scenes and chuckling in funny scenes. 

Why Go ahead is a must watch emotional Chinese drama 

This drama is a portrayal of family , friendship and forgiveness, shows us that family not just means people related to each other by blood, it means who stands with you, by your side always no matter what. Also in relationship there is sacrifice, patience, understanding and forgiveness.

Spoiler free review: my honest opinion 

I personally loved this drama as it’s an emotional journey of three unrelated siblings, which shows us a family bond beyond blood.  From the very first episode the story makes you glued to the screen due to its balance between emotions and humour. It’s about family , healing and unconditional love beyond blood. Later in the process of becoming the emotional support for each other and in the journey of growing up and standing by each other together no matter what, the leads don’t even realise and fall in love with each other. Lastly it shows us that relationship is not always about happiness and love, it demands patience, sacrifice and forgivenesses.
